Frequently Asked Questions
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural, deeply relaxed, meditative state that quiets the “noise” in the conscious mind to awaken the deep recesses of the subconscious mind - coupled with your intense focus, imagination, and visualization - to receive techniques and affirmations to overcome debilitating issues and vastly improve the quality of your life.
What are the benefits of hypnosis?
Hypnosis has been proven to dramatically reduce, or eliminate, anxiety; stress; pain; phobias; low self-esteem; insomnia; addictive behaviors (such as smoking, overeating, gambling, or sex), and a myriad of other issues.
Hypnotherapy is also an excellent modality for treating unresolved trauma, via past-life regressions and inner-child healing.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Most people go in and out of hypnosis daily. Daydreaming or being so deeply engrossed in a book or movie that you cannot hear someone calling you are classic forms of "self-hypnosis."
Other examples include the transitional periods before falling asleep (hypnagogic) and waking up (hypnopompic). These altered states of being perfectly mimic the experience of hypnosis.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Nearly everyone can be hypnotized. It's important to note that if you resist being hypnotized, you will not be hypnotized. Only you can decide to relax and engage your subconscious (or superconscious) mind, imagination, and visualization!
How many sessions are needed?
Science has proven that it takes 21 to 30 days to break or create a habit. To receive the maximum benefit, it is advisable to schedule 3 hypnosis sessions over 30 days. Certain issues may require up to 5 or 6 sessions.
Complimentary session audio recordings are also available. Listening to the MP3 in the mornings, evenings, and throughout the day will enhance the recovery process.
